About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation (BSWIR) in Dallas is opening a unique position within its therapy continuum. The Dallas campus features a 92-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, a Day Neuro program, a Day Spinal Cord Injury (SCI Max) program, and a 21-bed neuro transitional program. They are seeking PRN therapists who are willing to be cross-trained in all three locations and available to work a minimum of one day per month, either on a weekend or weekday. Therapists with experience in neurological rehabilitation or spinal cord injury are preferred, but candidates with at least one year of experience are welcome. Requirements

Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in neurological rehabilitation or spinal cord injury.
At least 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction.
Responsible for delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
Ensures the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities.
Serves as an educator for patients, families, students, co-workers, and self.
Performs other professional duties related to patient care, the development of discipline-specific therapy services, and program delivery design.
