About The Position

Rock Valley Physical Therapy is seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality, individualized care to a diverse patient population. The therapist will work with experienced practitioners in a positive, upbeat, and collaborative clinical environment, with a focus on upper-extremity dysfunctions and clinical excellence. New graduates are encouraged to apply; an Occupational Therapy license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations for orthopedic and neurologic conditions and develop individualized treatment plans based on patients’ needs and goals.
• Treat patients with orthopedic and neurologic diagnoses, including post-operative conditions, upper-extremity injuries, stroke, balance and coordination impairments, and other conditions affecting functional independence.
• Address activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence.
• Provide therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, functional activities, manual techniques, and other evidence-based interventions within the OT scope of practice.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and long-term wellness.
• Collaborate with physicians, other health care professionals, and community partners.
• Contribute to a positive, supportive, and team-oriented clinical environment.
