About The Position

This role is for an Occupational Therapist (OTR) in an in-house, family-owned therapy organization, distinct from a contract therapy model. The focus is on delivering meaningful, patient-centered care where clinician judgment is respected and therapy time is protected. The organization emphasizes a clinician-led and clinician-supported approach, prioritizing patient needs and outcomes over short-term volume. Sprenger Therapy operates within Sprenger Health Care Systems, a third-generation, family-owned senior living organization with 12 facilities in Ohio and South Carolina.

Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for OTR
Current OT license or license-eligible
Commitment to patient-first, outcomes-driven care
Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills

Responsibilities

Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
Provide occupational therapy services focused on restoring function, independence, and quality of life
Conduct screenings and identify residents who would benefit from intervention
Supervise and collaborate with COTA staff as applicable
Initiate referrals when appropriate in accordance with department procedures
Document clearly and efficiently in support of quality outcomes
