About The Position

The Occupational Therapist provides clinical occupational therapy evaluation and treatment for participants in the PACE Organization. Therapy may be acute, restorative, or maintenance-based and is provided in settings such as the Day Center, nursing home, or participants’ homes. The position is based at LIFE Saint Joseph of the Pines and is full-time, onsite, Monday through Friday, on the day shift. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unencumbered, active occupational therapy license in the state of the PACE Organization.
• One year of experience working with a frail or elderly population; appropriate clinical placement experience may be substituted.
• Employee Medical Statement meeting job requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of appropriate experience as an occupational therapist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop, mentor, coach, counsel, and discipline department staff.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and corporate integrity programs.
• Act within designated roles during disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Attend and participate in scheduled training and educational classes.
• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and care planning.
• Coordinate home modification programs to support participant independence and safety.
• Provide treatment consistent with participants’ identified goals.
• Train family members, caregivers, and staff to maximize safety and functional abilities.
• Evaluate participant progress and accurately document therapy notes.
