About The Position

Corewell Health Taylor Hospital is a 148-bed hospital that is a recognized health care leader in the metro Detroit area. Proudly serving Taylor and surrounding communities since 1977, it offers specialty services including 24-hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, inpatient rehabilitation facility and full-service radiology, including advanced CT w/cardiac scoring, Fixed MRI including pacemaker, cinema vision and ultrasound (MSK & elastography). In collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, provides therapeutic services including evaluation, treatment, and education. Monitors the treatment activities of COTA’s and aides. Completes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with the established standards of care and practice. Plans and provides treatment to assigned patients as appropriate in accordance with established standards of care and practice. Completes all documentation of services per department standards. Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job related hazards. Follows the hospital exposure control plans/bloodborne and airborne pathogens. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment. Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter- and intra-departmentally to facilitate the department’s/unit’s ability to meet its goals and objectives. Maintains updated license and submits evidence of status to supervisor/manager within two weeks of receipt of new or updated license.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited OT school.
  • Successful completion of clinical internship.
  • Current State OT license.
  • BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous clinical experience/rehabilitation experience preferred.
