About The Position

This role is for an Occupational Therapist at Ascension St. Francis Hospital in the Behavioral Health department. The position is part-time and operates on a day schedule. The therapist will be responsible for designing and executing tailored recovery plans, empowering patients and families, maintaining clinical quality and compliance, and driving collaborative care transitions.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Occupational Therapy (OT) credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Bachelor's degree required.

Nice To Haves

Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess patients' independent living skills to create, implement, and adjust individualized treatment strategies using appropriate clinical modalities.
Educate individuals and caregivers on managing functional limitations, navigating discharge transitions, and safely using adaptive equipment and community support resources.
Document patient milestones precisely while overseeing Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and therapy techs to ensure seamless, compliant care delivery.
Consult regularly with the broader healthcare team to continuously evaluate progress, refine care plans, and ensure safe, timely discharges from therapy services.
