Occupational Therapist – School-Based Surprise, AZ 2026–2027 School Year Full-Time W2 $39–$44 per hour, based on experience HealthPRO Pediatrics is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a full-time, school-based position in Surprise, Arizona for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a great opportunity for an OT who is passionate about helping students build independence, confidence, and the skills they need to thrive in the school setting. As part of our school-based team, you will support students through evaluation, treatment planning, collaboration with educators and families, and participation in the IEP process. Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligible
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
  • Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients' goals and enhance their functional abilities.
  • Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Advocate for clients' needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
