About The Position
Independence Rehab is hiring a Full-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team at The Residency in Scottsbluff, NE. This role is ideal for new graduates seeking mentorship or experienced OTs desiring autonomy and a sustainable caseload. Requirements
- Current Nebraska OT license in good standing
- Degree from an accredited OT program
- Organized, self-starter who enjoys the geriatric population
- Ability to supervise a COTA
- Caring, motivated, and licensed
Nice To Haves
- SNF experience preferred
- New grads are welcome, and we provide structured training and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Treat a geriatric population across SNF and Transitional Care.
- Provide Functional ADL retraining and adaptive strategies.
- Conduct transfer training (all levels).
- Implement fall prevention and safety training.
- Treat clinically complex patients.
- Manage discharge planning and care coordination.
- Supervise a COTA (as needed).
- Collaborate with nursing, PT, ST, and facility staff.
