About The Position

HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our outpatient team. Ideal candidates are patient-focused, mission-driven therapists looking for an opportunity to improve patients’ independence, participation, and overall functional performance through therapeutic interventions. The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive, coordinated, and high-quality care.

Requirements

• Graduate (e.g., bachelors, master, or doctorate) from an accredited program which meets the licensure requirements in the state of practice is required.
• IL: State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required OR has been authorized to practice by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and must obtain licensure within 6 months.
• WI: State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required OR has been issued a temporary licensure to practice and must obtain licensure within 6 months.
• Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) or completion in the first 90 days of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Improve patients’ independence, participation, and overall functional performance through therapeutic interventions.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive, coordinated, and high-quality care.
