About The Position
HealthPro Heritage has a great Occupational Therapy (OT) Opportunity. This is a full-time position located at Wexner Heritage Village in Columbus, OH, within a CCRC setting. The role offers a full continuum of care, allowing treatment across various settings such as short-term rehab, long-term care, memory care, and hospice without leaving one campus. It features a strong rehab focus with interdisciplinary team collaboration (PT/OT/ST) and modern therapy programs. The caseload is diverse, offering opportunities to work with orthopedic, neurological, and dementia populations. The position emphasizes a person-centered care model focused on functional independence, ADLs, and quality of life. Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligible.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
- Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients' goals and enhance their functional abilities.
- Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Advocate for clients' needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
