About The Position

NHC HomeCare Dickson is seeking an Occupational Therapist to supervise and participate in the implementation of occupational therapy techniques for rehabilitating patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or diseases. The therapist coordinates and supervises occupational therapy services, provides services as ordered by the referring physician, and delegates appropriate parts of treatment to a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant. The role also includes instructing occupational therapy staff on delegated functions and patient-specific precautions, concerns, contraindications, anticipated progress goals, and re-evaluation plans. The therapist evaluates, plans, and supervises treatments and programs, establishes physician-approved short- and long-term patient goals, and conducts periodic re-evaluations. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy course certified by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Licensed or registered under the statutes of the state in which the occupational therapist will practice.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise Occupational Therapy services.
