About The Position

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide home-based care to patients with debilitating conditions. The therapist helps patients improve their ability to perform everyday tasks and develop daily living skills and basic motor functions, while also helping them compensate for loss of function. The Occupational Therapist administers skilled care to clients who require intermittent professional services and teaches family members and other members of the health care team. Services are provided in accordance with physicians’ orders and the established plan of care, under the direction and supervision of the Branch Director.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state where the employee practices.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience is preferred; less experience may be accepted with Regional Vice President and/or Regional Director of Therapy Services approval based on prior experience setting.
Medicare home health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Help patients with debilitating conditions improve their ability to perform everyday tasks in the home.
Use treatments to develop patients’ daily living skills and basic motor functions, and help them compensate for loss of function.
Administer skilled care to clients requiring intermittent professional services.
Teach family members and other members of the health care team.
Provide services in accordance with physicians’ orders and the established plan of care, under the direction and supervision of the Branch Director.
