Occupational Therapist
About The Position
Amedisys is hiring an Occupational Therapist to provide home health occupational therapy services. The role is responsible for all aspects of service delivery under a physician-approved plan of care, ensuring identified assessment problems are addressed or documenting why they are not. The Occupational Therapist is accountable for the safety and effectiveness of services, completes documentation accurately and on time, and supervises a home health aide when an RN is not active in the case. The position also includes other duties as assigned. Compensation is listed as $112,226.40–$140,290.80 annually and may vary based on geographic market, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Requirements
- Hold a current license to practice occupational therapy in the state assigned.
- Graduate from an occupational therapy program accredited by ACOTE of AOTA, or successor organizations of ACOTE.
- Be eligible to take or have successfully completed the entry-level occupational therapist certification examination administered by NBCOT.
- Have one year of related occupational therapy experience. Candidates with less than one year require approval from regional clinical leaders and an appropriate mentoring and/or residency program.
- Hold current CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide all aspects of occupational therapy service delivery under a physician-approved plan of care.
- Ensure the plan of care addresses all problems identified in the assessment, or document the rationale when identified problems are not addressed.
- Be accountable for the safety and effectiveness of occupational therapy service delivery.
- Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Supervise the home health aide when an RN is not active in the case.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
