About The Position

An Occupational Therapist plays a vital role in Waverly Group's collaborative, multidisciplinary pediatric team by providing high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services to children with a variety of developmental, behavioral, and learning needs. This position combines direct therapeutic intervention with comprehensive assessment, individualized treatment planning, and close collaboration with families, schools, and fellow clinicians to support each child's functional independence and overall development. An Occupational Therapist provides individualized therapy, conducts evaluations, develops home exercise programs, and maintains timely, accurate clinical documentation. As part of our integrated care model, this clinician works closely with psychologists, behavior analysts, physical therapists, educators, and other specialists, including supporting children with autism receiving services within our ABA clinic. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Active, unrestricted Occupational Therapy licensure in Connecticut
  • Experience with pediatric populations
  • Strong desire to work as a collaborative and supportive member of multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership capabilities
  • Interest in small group facilitation and development of programming

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 intervention in occupational therapy
  • Complete assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning
  • Provide home exercise programs
  • Attend multi-disciplinary meetings and collaborate with team members, families, and schools
  • Work with children with autism in our ABA clinic as a supportive team member
  • Write and maintain confidential client case notes and reports
