About The Position

Axis Therapy Centers is looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team. At Axis, you'll have the opportunity to do meaningful work with children while collaborating with professionals across Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). You'll help children build the skills they need to become more confident and independent in their everyday lives—from fine motor and sensory skills to self-care, play, and daily routines. Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited occupational therapy program.
  • Current NBCOT certification, as applicable.
  • Current or eligible Occupational Therapy license in the state of Iowa.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach to care.
  • Passion for working with children and families.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pediatrics, autism, sensory processing, or developmental disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans based on each child's strengths and needs.
  • Provide therapy targeting areas such as fine motor development, sensory processing and regulation, self-care skills, play, coordination, and daily living skills.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to provide education, strategies, and support that can be carried into everyday routines.
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, SLPs, and other members of the child's care team when appropriate.
  • Complete required clinical documentation accurately and timely.
  • Maintain current knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy practices and evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Maintain all required professional licenses, certifications, and continuing education requirements.
