About The Position

Community Advantage Rehabilitation (CAR), a Spectrum Health Care Company is seeking Registered Occupational Therapists in Beaverton to provide high-quality, ministry-funded occupational therapy services to adult clients in the community. This independent contractor role offers a highly flexible work schedule, with part-time or full-time opportunities based on your preferred case load. Compensation is per visit, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality, client-centred care. Estimated annual earning potential is between $82,000 - $102,000, however actual earnings may vary based on service volumes. Requirements

  • Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
  • Ability to work independently within a community-based model
  • Strong communication, documentation, and clinical reasoning skills
  • Valid G or G2 drover’s license with access to a reliable vehicle for community travel
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including MS Office Suite and proprietary clinical software

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in community practice is an asset, but new graduates are welcome

Responsibilities

  • Provide ministry-funded, community-based occupational therapy services in clients’ homes and/or through virtual care
  • Conduct occupational therapy assessments using interviews, standardized tools, and informal assessment techniques, including: Home safety and home modifications, Equipment prescription, Fall prevention, Mobility and physical functioning, Cognition, Stroke rehabilitation and chronic conditions
  • Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans in collaboration with clients and caregivers
  • Assign, supervise, and monitor occupational therapy assistants as appropriate
  • Educate clients and caregivers and connect them with relevant community agencies and resources
  • Complete funding applications when required
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation, including: Assessment findings, Care plans, Progress and discharge summaries, Reports aligned with referral source requirements and COTO standards
