About The Position

The Department of High Point Medical Center - Outpatient Rehabilitation: High Point Premier is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist for a 40-hour per week position, Monday through Friday. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care, including assessment, treatment, and documentation, while adhering to hospital and departmental policies. The therapist will supervise support staff, maintain productivity standards, and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Additionally, the position requires promoting professional development, sharing clinical expertise, and communicating effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff. The role also emphasizes providing age and developmentally appropriate care.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. degree from accredited occupational therapy school.
  • Current licensure in the state of applicable state.
  • CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C.
  • Able to communicate on a professional level with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers and provide quality care for patients.
  • Able to communicate with patients of all age groups and significant others appropriate to the level of comprehension.
  • Has knowledge, clinical skills, and understanding of the patient throughout the entire span of life.

  • Previous hospital experience preferred.

  • Maintains patient records in a systematic order and documentation is legible.
