Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
- Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs, develop their recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy.
- Design a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence.
- Adapt to the needs of the patient.
- Collaborate with peers.
- Make referrals to help your patient get the care they need to thrive.
- Train patients and caregivers on the skills they need to promote independence and productivity.
