Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current Ohio Occupational Therapist license in good standing
  • Skilled nursing, geriatric, or post-acute rehabilitation experience preferred
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and positive clinical outcomes
  • New graduates encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and functional assessments
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical needs
  • Deliver skilled interventions focused on activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
  • Address cognitive, perceptual, sensory, upper extremity, and functional mobility deficits
  • Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and safety strategies
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers to support successful outcomes
  • Collaborate with nursing, physicians, rehabilitation professionals, and facility leadership
  • Supervise and support Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as appropriate
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings and discharge planning discussions
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
