We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our school-based team for the 2026-2027 school year. Position Details: Full-time position 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday schedule Start Date: August 2026 Compensation: $48-51/hour Full 2026-2027 school year assignment Opportunity for extension beyond the school year for the right candidate Serving two school sites within the same geographic region: One elementary school (approximately 4-4.5 days per week) One secondary school (approximately 0.5-1 day per week) Why Choose HealthPro Pediatrics? Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current State Occupational Therapist license
  • Current NBCOT certificate
  • Current CPR certification
  • Efficient problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication skills and time management skills
  • Must keep best interest of the client and family at the forefront of all activities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles, techniques, materials and equipment in pediatric occupational therapy.
  • Ability to evaluate a patient’s occupational therapy needs and communicate the patient’s needs to the legal guardian and/or appropriate parties involved in the patient’s care.
  • Ability to communicate with a high degree of written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of CPT & ICD 10 coding procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of computer programs (EMRs)

Responsibilities

  • The occupational therapist will provide services for the pediatric population age 0-21 with developmental, neurological, and medical based disorders in a school setting.
  • This position performs highly responsible work that will promote quality patient care and efficiency.
  • The occupational therapist will also collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including physicians, psychologists, therapists, BCBAs, school staff, and parents to provide holistic services.
  • The occupational therapist is responsible for planning and administering evaluations, treatment plans, consults, screenings, parent education and for promoting the overall health of the patient.
  • In addition, this position requires flexibility with scheduled hours as the company continues to thrive and grow.
  • Provides skilled occupational therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
  • Adheres to state requirements for supervision of COTAs to provide services with the highest care standards
  • Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending follow-up programs.
  • Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
  • Maintains patient records confidentially.
  • Records treatment charges daily and completes documentation in accurate and timely manner.
  • Complies with the applicable State Occupational Therapy Practice Act, rules and regulations
  • Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
  • Maintains clean work area, clean treatment rooms and requests needed supplies.
  • Maintains professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers and other professionals as it relates to collaboration of care for the patient.
  • Keeps regular clinic hours as approved by Manager.
  • Directs all patient scheduling matters through the front desk coordinator.
  • Attends meetings as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
