About The Position

Bradenton Rehabilitation Hospital is opening in May 2026 and is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their team. The hospital features 60 private patient rooms and two rehab therapy gyms equipped with cutting-edge technology. The Occupational Therapist will independently evaluate patients, determine treatment strategies, and deliver or delegate services to address impairments and maximize function in activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work. This role also involves addressing dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components, with interventions focused on promoting safety and performance in ADLs, IADLs, education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluates, determines the treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate and rehabilitate acute or prolonged, skill or ability that has not yet is impaired in order to maximize function in the areas of activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work.
• Addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components.
• Interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.
