The Occupational Therapist (OT) in Outpatient Rehabilitation at Sturgeon Bay is responsible for evaluating patients' physical, perceptual, cognitive, social, and vocational abilities and their impact on daily living activities. The OT will establish and implement individualized treatment plans using appropriate techniques, provide and/or fabricate assistive devices and splints, and monitor patient outcomes. This role involves planning for patient discharge, including providing home programs, patient/family teaching, and ordering equipment. The OT will communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner, and maintain productivity standards. The position also requires understanding and adhering to billing and documentation policies, maintaining a clean and orderly work area, and performing manual techniques and patient transfers that require physical exertion. The OT will demonstrate skill in using available modalities and equipment, promote patient safety, and participate in performance improvement activities. They will manage their caseload, assist with coverage as needed, and pursue professional growth through continuing education. The role may involve orienting new staff, participating in coworker evaluations, and potentially supervising occupational therapy assistants, occupational therapy extenders, and students, adhering to all compliance requirements.
