About The Position
Boston Speech Therapy is seeking a dedicated full-time Occupational Therapist to work in a school-based setting. This role will involve working with students to enhance their daily living skills and improve their functionality within the school environment. Since we are owned and operated by therapists, we understand the unique needs of therapists.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators and parents
- Effective organizational and time management skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in school settings preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess students’ physical, emotional, and developmental needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support students' success.
- Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs.
- Monitor and report on student progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
