Your expertise will help develop effective treatment plans approved by referring physicians, ensuring compliance with Medicare rules and regulations. Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA approved and accredited college or university.
Current Virginia and District of Columbia Physical Therapy license
CPR certified (adult only)
Possess the qualities of compassion and empathy and comfort with at risk or low-income constituents.
Possess the ability to deal tactfully and compassionately with clients, family members, and caregivers

Responsibilities

Provide top-notch Occupational Therapy evaluations and treatments, aiming to overcome specific functional losses.
Enhance residents' ability to perform ADLs and transfer safely, catering to both inpatients and outpatients.
Effectively communicate with physicians, nursing, and other team members about residents' progress.
Coordinate treatment plans, report changes in medical status, and participate in care plan meetings and discharge planning.
Educate families and health team members to improve outcomes and ensure effective follow-through with exercises and functional tasks.
Maintain positive rapport with residents, family members, and caregivers.
Ensure accurate billing records and compliance with Medicare guidelines.
Provide valuable in-services to nursing staff to enhance service coordination and competency in restorative nursing programs.
