SPEECHCOM, INC is excited to announce a full-time or part-time opportunity for a passionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Supportive and Collaborative School-Based Team in the Santa Clarita area of California. Requirements
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active License in Occupational Therapy (State of California)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and families.
- Must possess sufficient technology skills to complete IEP documentation and communicate effectively via email.
- Skill in communicating verbally and in writing with students, faculty members, and parents so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy
- CA state-issued license as an Occupational Therapist
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance student mobility and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with other service providers to ensure effective discharge planning and continuity of care.
- Educate parents and families on treatment goals.
- Document student progress and adjust care plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
- Provide support and guidance for students with disabilities and those requiring early intervention.
