About The Position
Boothby Therapy Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school-based ESY (Extended School Year) summer position in the Concord, New Hampshire area. This is a short-term contract with up to full-time hours (depending on your desired schedule) supporting students in a public school / special education setting. This role is ideal for OTs looking for summer work, flexible hours, school-based experience, or supplemental income.
Requirements
- Active New Hampshire Occupational Therapist license (required)
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or OTD)
- Experience or interest in pediatrics, school-based therapy, or special education
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide school-based occupational therapy services to students
- Conduct OT evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals
- Deliver direct therapy (individual and small group sessions)
- Support students with: Fine motor skills and handwriting, Sensory processing and sensory integration, Executive functioning and organization, Activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, PTs, and SLPs
- Recommend accommodations, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology
- Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions
- Maintain documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
