Occupational Therapist PRN
About The Position
Innovate Rehab and Wellness is seeking a Licensed PRN Occupational Therapist for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Ringgold, LA. This PRN (as-needed) position offers a flexible schedule with a focus on one-on-one patient care, aiming for realistic daily scheduling to support work-life balance. The company has over 25 years of experience as a leading provider of skilled healthcare services, is therapist- and veteran-owned, and emphasizes patient-centered care within a supportive, collaborative team environment. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients' functional abilities and therapy needs, create and deliver individualized treatment plans to help patients improve motor skills, coordination, and daily function, and support patients in regaining independence and quality of life.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (accredited program)
- Valid state OT license
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Passion for patient-centered care
- CPR certification preferred
Nice To Haves
- Experience as an OT preferred (new grads welcome)
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough OT evaluations
- Develop and adjust personalized treatment plans
- Use therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment
- Train patients and caregivers on exercises and assistive devices
- Educate on strategies to improve function and safety
- Collaborate with PT, SLP, physicians, and the full care team
- Document patient progress and treatment changes accurately
- Stay current with OT best practices and research
