About The Position

American Senior Communities is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to support residents at Riverside, Elkhart, or Trailpoint. The role offers 35–40 hours per week and an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents and staff by learning their life stories. Occupational Therapists use clinical skills to promote residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being. The position is part of the ASC Therapies and Wellness team, with a supportive environment and experienced therapy leaders. A structured nine-month mentorship program is available to help develop clinical skills and expertise.

Requirements

Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Indiana.
Ability to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident conditions.
Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence.

Supportive presence, leadership, collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Promote the physical and psychosocial well-being of residents through occupational therapy.
Conduct thorough resident assessments and accurately document changes in resident conditions.
Collaborate with nursing and other facility teams to provide coordinated, comprehensive resident care.
Promote teamwork within the care team to meet residents’ needs.
Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
Support a respectful and positive work environment.
