Responsible for assessment and direct administration of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. This role requires interaction with patients and families, effective communication, and the ability to perform assessments on a diverse patient population. The therapist will also supervise support personnel, administer treatments using various equipment, perform therapy interventions, evaluate and adjust prosthetic/orthotic devices, and develop individualized treatment plans. Planning patient discharge, providing adaptive equipment information, and teaching patients and families are also key aspects of this position.
