About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist for weekday and weekend shifts at Baylor All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas. This fast-paced teaching hospital is a Level 3 trauma center and primary stroke center, with service lines including kidney, pancreas, and liver transplants; oncology, including head and neck cancer reconstruction; complex heart and lung procedures; and critical care. The Occupational Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on patient needs and physician direction. The role also includes directing discipline-specific therapy services, designing functional treatment programs to support patients’ return to community activities, educating patients and others, and performing related professional duties.

Requirements

Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Certified BLS or completion of BLS certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction.
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
Design functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities.
Educate patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.
Perform other professional duties associated with patient care, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and program delivery.
