About The Position
BrightStar Care is seeking a dedicated PRN Occupational Therapist (1099 Independent Contractor) to provide exceptional care to clients in their homes and facilities throughout the Burleson area. This role offers flexibility in scheduling while making a difference in the lives of clients. The position involves developing personalized care plans, assessing homes for safety, recommending adaptive equipment, providing hands-on interventions, educating clients and families, completing documentation, and communicating client condition changes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OT program
- Completion of required fieldwork
- Current Texas OT license
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and exceptional patient care
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of OT experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop personalized care plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team
- Assess homes for safety and fall risks
- Recommend adaptive equipment and strategies
- Provide hands-on interventions to promote independence
- Educate clients, families, and caregivers
- Complete evaluations, progress notes, and discharge documentation
- Communicate changes in client condition with the DON and physicians
