About The Position

Banner Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist specializing in hand therapy at an outpatient orthopedic center in Phoenix, Arizona. A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is preferred, but applicants preparing for the CHT exam or with extensive hand therapy experience are welcome. The role offers access to a national network of hand therapists and CHTs, mentorship opportunities, continuing education, and professional development programs. Compensation starts at $80,000 and is commensurate with experience, with a $15,000 bonus and a $350-per-month student loan repayment benefit.

Requirements

Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association-accredited school of occupational therapy.
CPR certification.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential, or preparation for the CHT exam.
Extensive hand therapy experience.
At least two years of experience applying custom splinting in pre- and post-operative orthopedic care.
At least two years of experience in adult rehabilitation; hand therapy and splinting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
Stay current with occupational therapy research and use evidence-based practice, incorporating research, clinician expertise, and patient perception.
Provide individualized care, including evaluation, development of a plan of care, treatment, and discharge.
Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients.
Build and expand client relationships with facilities and their staff.
