About The Position
The Occupational Therapist - OT role at Resurrection Medical Center is a Per Diem position in the Outpatient Rehab Unit, working days from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. This role focuses on facilitating long-term functional independence for patients with diverse needs, including upper extremity rehabilitation, post-surgical recovery, and activities of daily living (ADL) retraining. The position offers the opportunity to build meaningful patient relationships through extended treatment plans and utilize a dedicated outpatient therapy clinic equipped with modern rehabilitation tools for high-quality, evidence-based manual therapy and splinting. The interview process is designed to be streamlined with minimal steps and quick scheduling, offering clear communication and timely feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate.
Nice To Haves
- National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within scope of practice in order to restore function and prevent disability for clients or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Performs responsibilities in accordance with department and Hospital Policies, state, federal and regulatory requirements: Title 22 Section 70519.
- Functions according to professional practice as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.
