About The Position

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their team of dedicated professionals. This role offers a flexible, challenging, and rewarding opportunity to provide home-based Early Intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth to three years of age) with developmental delays and their families. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency specializing in early intervention, with multi-disciplinary programs across California, including occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services. The position involves working in the child's natural environment, such as families' homes, daycare centers, and other community settings, utilizing a family-centered parent coaching approach.

Requirements

• Occupational Therapy license
• Pediatric experience required
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Early Intervention experience preferred
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments
• Provide physical therapy/occupational therapy/speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)
