Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license in South Carolina (or eligible for licensure)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for working with the geriatric population
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans
- Help residents improve independence with activities of daily living
- Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance strength, mobility, and function
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate documentation and treatment records
- Educate residents and caregivers on therapy goals and techniques
- Create meaningful outcomes that improve quality of life
