About The Position
Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist to provide home health services throughout Boxborough, Massachusetts. The therapist helps patients improve daily function, overcome everyday challenges, and regain independence through personalized care in their homes. The role offers flexible scheduling, compensation of up to $160 per visit, mileage reimbursement, and clinical and administrative support. VRNS describes itself as clinician-owned and clinician-focused, and notes that its ABI Waiver Program helps promote consistent scheduling while preserving per diem clinicians’ flexibility and independence. Ongoing training and professional development opportunities are also offered.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience.
- Afternoon availability.

Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide skilled interventions to improve strength, coordination, and functional performance.
- Address activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
- Assess home safety and recommend adaptive equipment and modifications.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic strategies and home exercise programs.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
