About The Position
Powerback Rehabilitation is hiring an Occupational Therapist to provide individualized, patient-centered care in an in-facility setting. The therapist assesses patient needs, develops recovery plans, and delivers occupational therapy to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence. The role includes treating each patient as an individual, adapting to patients’ needs and varied work, collaborating with peers, making referrals when appropriate, and teaching patients and caregivers skills that promote independence and productivity. The position reports to the Director of Rehab.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
- Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs.
- Develop patient recovery plans.
- Deliver occupational therapy.
- Design programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence.
- Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients receive appropriate care.
- Train patients and caregivers in skills that promote independence and productivity.
