About The Position

Silver Lake Hospital is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide care to long-term acute care patients and help them improve daily living activities. The role evaluates and treats functional limitations in activities of daily living, including eating, hygiene, dressing, functional mobility, health management, and writing. It also supervises treatment delivered by Occupational Therapist Assistants and Occupational Therapist Assistant Students. The position provides direct patient care to adults age 18 and older and requires age-specific experience, specialized training, and/or expertise to serve this population. The hospital is a long-term acute care hospital serving higher-acuity patients who have not responded to short-term treatment in traditional general hospitals. Occupational Therapists work eight-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy.
Current New Jersey state occupational therapy license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
Age-specific experience, specialized training, and/or expertise to serve patients age 18 and older.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in occupational therapy preferred.
Two or more years of occupational therapy experience in a hospital setting preferred.
