About The Position

This is a 13-week contract position for an Occupational Therapist in an acute care hospital setting in Walla Walla, WA. The role involves evaluating and treating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient independence and quality of life. Accurate documentation and participation in interdisciplinary care planning are essential. The position may require floating and rotating weekend coverage.

Requirements

• Active Washington State Occupational Therapist License required
• Minimum 1 year of Acute Care Occupational Therapy experience required
• Acute Care experience is a hard requirement
• First-time travelers accepted

Nice To Haves

• Inpatient Rehabilitation (IPR) experience preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Inpatient Rehabilitation (IPR) experience
• Strong acute care hospital background
• Excellent communication, organizational, and patient-care skills

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in an acute care hospital setting
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Assess functional limitations and provide interventions to improve independence and quality of life
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation team members
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning to support optimal patient outcomes
