About The Position

Sprenger Therapy is hiring an Occupational Therapist to provide in-house rehabilitation services at Anchor Lodge in Lorain, Ohio. Sprenger Therapy is the clinician-led, in-house rehabilitation team for Sprenger Health Care Systems, a third-generation, family-owned senior living organization operating 12 skilled nursing facilities across Ohio and South Carolina. The role emphasizes patient-centered, outcomes-driven care, clinical autonomy, protected therapy time, and collaboration with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team. Mentorship is available, including for new graduates.

Requirements

Bachelor's, master's, or doctorate in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for OTR.
Current occupational therapy license or eligibility for licensure.
Commitment to patient-first, outcomes-driven care.
Team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Provide occupational therapy services focused on restoring function, independence, and quality of life.
Conduct screenings and identify residents who would benefit from intervention.
Supervise and collaborate with COTA staff as applicable.
Initiate referrals when appropriate in accordance with department procedures.
Document clearly and efficiently in support of quality outcomes.
