About The Position

Resurgens Orthopaedics is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide patient-focused musculoskeletal care. The role supports patients in moving better, recovering faster, and reducing pain through individualized occupational therapy and collaboration with physicians and care teams. The Occupational Therapist evaluates patient needs, with a focus on upper extremity function, and develops and delivers treatment plans to improve mobility, relieve pain, and restore function. The role includes fabricating custom splints as needed, educating patients and families, and keeping current with developments in occupational therapy. The position involves the physical demands and clinical exposures associated with an occupational therapy setting, including patient interaction and the use of rehabilitation equipment. The employee is also expected to follow Resurgens privacy and information security policies to protect protected health information (PHI).

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Georgia State OT License.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Evaluate and assess patient needs, with a focus on upper extremity function.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, relieve pain, and restore function.
• Fabricate custom splints as needed and collaborate with physicians to support optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy.
• Follow Resurgens privacy and information security policies and procedures to protect PHI, and report incidents to a supervisor or HIPAA leadership.
