About The Position

This is a full-time Occupational Therapist position in Alpena, MI. The shift schedule is 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with weekend requirements of 1 per month. On-call requirements will be discussed at the interview. The shift type is days.

Requirements

NBCOT - NB Certification in Occ Therapy [REQUIRED]
OTR - Occupational Therapist [REQUIRED]
Bachelors Degree [REQUIRED]
Interpersonal skills needed for effective verbal and written communication in the English language to interact with people individually and in a group at all levels.
Ability to work independently, demonstrating problem solving and organizational skills, time management skills and initiative.
Ability to work where employee may be exposed to communicable diseases.
Ability to use personal protective equipment correctly.
Ability to perform essential job functions with reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

BLS - Basic Life Support - Within 1 month of hire or transfer [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
More than 1 year of experience preferred but would be willing for new grad. [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
Outpatient Experience preferred [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
AOTA membership preferred. [PREFERRED]

Responsibilities

Demonstrate and teach selected treatment routines to appropriate professional and non-professional individuals.
Mandatory Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is required and must be completed annually according to the Exposure Control Plan.
Successful completion of MyMichigan Health and affiliate specific orientation.
Successful completion of new hire competency.
