About The Position
Blue Stone Therapy is launching a brand-new outpatient therapy program at Peaceful Pines of Mitchell in Mitchell, SD, and we're building our therapy team from the ground up. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a growing outpatient program while delivering individualized, patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive environment. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure) in South Dakota
- Strong clinical reasoning and creative problem-solving skills
- Passion for restoring independence and quality of life
- Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Enthusiasm for helping establish a new outpatient clinic
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Help patients improve independence with activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity function, cognition, coordination, and functional mobility
- Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to support safe, independent living
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment techniques and home programs
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Complete timely, accurate documentation
- Support the development of a patient-focused outpatient therapy program
