About The Position

As an Occupational Therapist at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, you will help patients regain independence in daily living and work skills in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will conduct thorough evaluations, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide hands-on therapy to support recovery and improve patients’ quality of life. Rehabilitation Services are provided in partnership with Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, offering rehabilitation providers access to research, continuing education, and care expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)-accredited program.
• Current State of Michigan licensure.
• Current CPR certification, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess patient needs and functional abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients recover or maintain daily living and work skills.
• Use evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to support patient progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on adaptive strategies and techniques for independence.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
