Ensures the highest degree of quality care is maintained while providing therapy services to patients and supervising therapy assistants. This role involves evaluating patients' functional status, home environment, and equipment needs to develop and implement treatment programs aimed at improving function. The Occupational Therapist will communicate the plan of care to physicians and other professionals, teach new skills, fabricate splints, and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and prosthetic/orthotic devices. Maintaining accurate clinical records, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and participating in discharge planning are also key responsibilities. The role requires adherence to company policies and procedures and may involve other assigned duties.
