The Occupational Therapist assesses, plans, implements prescribed Occupational Therapy treatment. Provides advanced patient care including evaluations, goal setting, treatment planning, family training and the application of treatment techniques in accordance with designated practice act and department policy and procedure. Assists patients to prevent disability and aims toward the promotion of maximal patient and caregiver participation and responsibility for the recovery program following disease, injury, surgery or loss of a body part. Fosters a constructive and supportive approach to department operations. Understands economic constraints and practices are designed to conserve resources. Supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants. Performs other duties as needed.
