As an Occupational Therapist at Grand River Hospital District, you’ll play a key role in helping patients regain independence and improve their ability to perform daily activities. You’ll evaluate patient needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based care across a variety of settings. Working closely with an interdisciplinary team, you’ll support patients through recovery while promoting safety, function, and quality of life.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from a program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association, or eligibility to sit for the board examination
  • Current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Colorado
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire and maintained throughout employment
  • Proficiency within six (6) months of hire in clinical and administrative systems, including Meditech, Cedaron, PACS, Exercise Pro, Allscripts EHR, Galactica, QHN, Microsoft Office, Kronos, and HealthStream

Nice To Haves

  • Practical experience across a range of occupational therapy services preferred
  • Experience in upper extremity orthopedic rehabilitation and acute care settings strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
  • Implement therapy programs to restore, maintain, or improve daily living skills
  • Teach adaptive techniques and proper use of assistive equipment
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
  • Administer therapeutic interventions to restore function and prevent disability
  • Collaborate with physicians and the care team to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with standards and policies
  • Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members
  • Support a safe, organized, and patient-centered care environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
