About The Position

Occupational Therapist (O.T.) Weekends Part-time. Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care. Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment. Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment. Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines. Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and departmental personnel. Focus on Daily Living Skills, Mobility and Cognition of patients. Delivery of high quality of patient care through evidence-based care. As the only Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center in Fort Worth and a Level 1 Trauma center, you will join a team of highly motivated clinicians that take pride in the quality of care provided. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Completion of an Occupational Therapy program Required.
  • No Experience required – new grads are welcome!
  • OT - Occupational Therapist Texas Occupational Therapy License Upon Hire Required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Problem-solving ability; Ability to teach others.
  • Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer experience with adult population, acute care hospital-based, inpatient experience.
