About The Position
Join the outpatient rehabilitation team at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, as an Occupational Therapist. Help patients regain independence in their daily lives through one-on-one care for people recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. Treatment focuses on functional abilities, fine motor skills, and activities of daily living (ADLs). The role is suitable for experienced occupational therapists and new graduates who are passionate about patient-centered care and want to grow in a collaborative, fast-paced outpatient setting. This is a per-diem position on the day shift, with 8-hour shifts listed as 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Weekend and holiday rotation is required. Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current state Occupational Therapy certification or license.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate.

Responsibilities
- Deliver outpatient occupational therapy treatments focused on ADLs, fine motor skills, and upper extremity function.
- Provide therapeutic activities, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training.
- Educate patients on adaptive techniques and home exercise programs (HEP).
- Document care and monitor progress in the EMR (Epic).
- Support orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, CMS, and clinical guidelines.
