Occupational Therapist
About The Position
Garden City Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within the scope of practice. The role focuses on restoring function and preventing disability for clients or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary disorders. The Occupational Therapist works in accordance with department and hospital policies, state and federal requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements, and serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team. Garden City Hospital is a community-focused teaching hospital and member of Prime Healthcare. It has more than 300 licensed beds and provides medical education to students, residents, and fellows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current state Occupational Therapy certification or license.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate.
Nice To Haves
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy certification.
- AOTA membership or affiliation.
- OTAC membership or affiliation.
Responsibilities
- Provide medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within the scope of practice.
- Help restore function and prevent disability for clients or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Perform responsibilities in accordance with department and hospital policies and applicable state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
- Function as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.
